The primary materials used in children's bean bag chairs are typically categorized into two components: the outer fabric cover and the inner filling.

Outer Fabric Cover: These covers are predominantly made from soft, skin-friendly, and easy-to-clean textiles such as cotton, polyester, velvet, corduroy, nylon, or flocked fabrics. Some products incorporate a non-woven inner liner to enhance breathability and structural support. Safety-conscious children's bean bag chairs often utilize non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and washable fabrics-such as ultra-soft velvet or certified eco-friendly synthetic fibers.

Inner Filling: The mainstream filling material consists of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) beads (commonly referred to as "beans" or "pellets"). These beads are lightweight, offer excellent resilience, and possess a fluid nature that allows them to conform closely to the user's body shape. A small number of high-end or eco-friendly models may utilize Polyethylene (PE) pellets or shredded foam/memory foam scraps; however, EPS remains the most common choice for children's models, striking an optimal balance between cost-effectiveness and safety.
